The bodies of 19 Turkish soldiers have been found at the crash site of a Turkish military aircraft in Georgia. This was announced on November 12 by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"We have found the bodies of 19 of our dead soldiers, the search for the last body continues," RIA Novosti quoted Erdogan as saying.

The Turkish leader also confirmed that the black box of the crashed Lockheed C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft was found at the crash site, and its records are being studied by specialists.

The incident was reported on November 11. The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that there were casualties as a result of the plane crash.

It was later reported that there were 20 military personnel on board the plane. It was noted that search and rescue operations were continuing at the scene. Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev has expressed his condolences to the Turkish president in connection with the plane crash.
