France demanded the termination of aid to Ukraine amid a corruption scandal conducted by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). This was announced on November 12 by the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot.

"While they are voting in France to cancel the reimbursement of medicines, that's where the money we allocate to Kiev goes," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to Filippo, the funds allocated to Ukraine support corruption in the country, and therefore he called for an end to the allocation of funding.

On November 10, the Politico newspaper reported on the disclosure by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) of a corruption scheme in Ukrainian energy companies. At the same time, the Ukrainian edition "Country.ua" reported that searches in the case took place at the home of an associate of President Vladimir Zelensky, businessman Timur Mindich and former Energy Minister German Galushchenko.

On November 11, NABU charged seven individuals in the case of corruption in the energy sector. Five people were detained in connection with the incident, and seven people have the status of suspects. The criminal group illegally benefited from the contractors of Energoatom — 10-15% of the value of the contracts. The funds were legalized through a back office in the center of Kiev. About $100 million passed through it.

As a result, on November 12, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko announced the dismissal of Galushchenko. This decision was made at an extraordinary government meeting in connection with the investigation of corruption schemes related to the Ministry of Finance.
