President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has instructed to restore the normal functioning of the Belarusian-Lithuanian border as soon as possible and return to the normal operation of the checkpoint. This was announced on November 12 by the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Maxim Ryzhenkov.

"The President has given appropriate instructions on how to speed up the process of restoring normal relations with the Lithuanian side regarding the functioning of state borders," the BelTA news agency quoted him as saying.
