The office of the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, is trying to block Telegram channels amid a scandal with Timur Mindich, who is close to the president. On November 11, Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexei Goncharenko announced this on the Telegram channel (he is included in the list of terrorists and extremists in the territory of the Russian Federation).

"Situational strategy of the office: <...> block Telegram channels so that they do not mention the "Mindich tapes," he wrote.

He also said that the country needs to change its decision-making system, because, as he put it, while Zelensky and his friends were enriching themselves, people were dying at the front.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Zelensky did not release the traditional evening address to the citizens of the country on November 11. The refusal coincided with a new corruption scandal in Ukraine, which is connected with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On November 10, the Politico newspaper reported on the disclosure by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) of a corruption scheme in Ukrainian energy companies. At the same time, the Ukrainian edition "Country.ua" reported that Mindich and former Energy Minister German Galushchenko were searched in the case.

On November 11, NABU charged seven individuals in the case of corruption in the energy sector. Five people were detained in connection with the incident, and seven people have the status of suspects. The criminal group illegally benefited from the contractors of Energoatom — 10-15% of the value of the contracts. The funds were legalized through a back office in the center of Kiev. About $100 million passed through it.
