Large-scale command exercises of the security forces have begun in Venezuela.

The Independence 200 command exercises of the national armed forces have begun in Venezuela, with maneuvers taking place in several states and the capital region at once, CNN reported on November 12.

"The measures are aimed at achieving optimal readiness for joint actions by the army, police and people to protect the constitutional rights of citizens of the country, taking into account the economic, cultural, geographical, political and military situation," the command said.
