A very strong magnetic storm on a planetary scale has begun on Earth

A powerful planetary-scale magnetic storm hit the Earth on Tuesday morning. This was announced on November 12 by the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Institute of Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"A very strong planetary—scale magnetic storm, which has almost reached the highest level of G5, is currently being recorded by means of monitoring the geomagnetic situation," the laboratory's Telegram channel says.
