The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case on an attempt on the life of a child in Krasnogorsk.

A criminal case on attempted murder has been opened in Krasnogorsk after an incident involving the detonation of an explosive object, in which a 10-year-old child was injured. This was announced on November 12 by the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region.

The case was initiated under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "e" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder committed in a generally dangerous manner").

The investigation established that on the evening of November 11, the boy was walking along an apartment building, and noticed an unidentified explosive device on the ground, which was camouflaged as a gift package. A 10-ruble banknote was attached to it. The child picked up the object, after which it exploded in his hands.
