Hundreds of architectural monuments have been restored in Moscow

A large-scale restoration program for architectural monuments, which has been in operation since 2011, continues in Moscow. During this time, more than 2.3 thousand cultural heritage sites have been restored in the capital, the portal reported on November 12. mos.ru .

According to representatives of the Department of Cultural Heritage, the main goal of the program is "to preserve and give new life to buildings that have historical and architectural value." The ministry noted that Moscow today ranks among the world leaders in terms of the pace and quality of restoration.

Since the beginning of 2025 alone, the Moscow City Council has conducted over 1,8 thousand inspections and issued more than 600 orders to eliminate violations. Thanks to constant monitoring, the city managed to restore its historical appearance to such objects as the apartment building with the tea shop of the D. and A. Rastorguyev trading house, the Fedorov — Plokhovo chambers and the main house with an outbuilding of the estate of R. R. Koshelev — S. A. Maltsev.

The Moscow City Heritage emphasized that "restoration is not just a repair, but a painstaking work aimed at preserving the authentic appearance of the monuments."

Earlier, on October 23, it was reported that more than a thousand urban facilities are planned to be built and renovated in Moscow in three years. Almost 3 trillion rubles have been allocated for these purposes, including 1.2 trillion rubles for a targeted investment program to create social infrastructure and 1.8 trillion rubles for major repairs, district development and renovation. The facilities include schools, kindergartens, hospitals, sports and cultural institutions.
