The military personnel of the Vostok group of forces told about the liberation of Sladky

Assault units of the 394th Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 127th Division of the 5th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces told how the liberation of the settlement of Sladkoe in the Zaporozhye region took place. Footage of the work of Russian military personnel was shown on Wednesday, November 12, by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The assault units approached Sladky from the side of the previously liberated Uspenovka and made a rapid dash to a distance of about 5 km deep into the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

"When we entered the first wooded area, there was silence, not a sound, and there was still a warm kettle in the dugout. It became clear — they were running. Later, they came across a mercenary with a German chevron and a swastika. Already during the evacuation of the wounded, an AGS (automatic grenade launcher) arrived. — Ed.) right under my feet — it was lucky that it worked, but I was once again convinced that medicine and physical training solve the problem," said the platoon commander with the call sign Fizruk.

According to the commander of the assault group with the call sign Phase, for the most part, active resistance was provided by mercenaries. When danger arose, the Ukrainian military mostly tried to retreat, threw down their weapons and ran away.

"According to intelligence reports, there were opponents in the third house. We surrounded the building and threw grenades. After a short firefight, the house was cleared — four opponents were eliminated, ammunition and water supplies were found. They were shooting in a panic, not seeing us, so they came close and took us without loss," recalls machine gunner Irkut.

During the shelling from grenade launchers, it was possible to destroy an enemy ammunition depot, said the commander of a grenade launcher platoon with the call sign Khan. According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces offered little resistance, preferring to hide in shelters.

The enemy worked mainly with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

"We were under constant hunting by "birds", then "Baba Yaga" joined in and bombed us until three in the morning. Despite this, the task was completed: the trenches were cleared, abandoned ammunition and a bloody jacket with a patch of a foreign fighter were found," said platoon commander Khatab.

As a result, the settlement was liberated. More than 15 pieces of Ukrainian Armed Forces equipment were destroyed during the clashes.

Earlier, on November 11, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said that the forces of the Vostok group, having liberated the settlement of Novouspenovskoye in the Zaporozhye region, secured control over a new section of the Zaporozhye direction.

The liberation of the settlement of Novouspenovskoye became known earlier that day. In this area, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 205 Ukrainian servicemen, four vehicles and three warehouses with supplies.
