BTA reports depletion of Bulgaria's reserves
Bulgaria has a 35-day supply of gasoline and a 50-day supply of diesel fuel. This was reported on November 11 by the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA), citing the words of Asen Asenov, chairman of the State Agency for State Reserves and Military Reserves.
Asenov added that some of the oil and gasoline reserves are stored abroad, including Italy, the Netherlands, Hungary, Slovakia, Greece and Romania. However, the country should only have as much fuel as the country needs for 90 days.
However, a similar situation has developed due to the lack of fuel supplies from some companies.
"Three companies are not fulfilling their fuel storage obligations, including Insa Oil and two smaller firms, which cite a lack of fuel storage capacity as the reason," the publication says.
