- British intelligence agencies have stopped providing the United States with data on ships in the Caribbean
British intelligence agencies have stopped providing the United States with data on the movement of ships in the Caribbean Sea due to violations of international rights. This was reported on November 11 by The Times newspaper.
"Intelligence gathered from British assets in the region is no longer being shared with the Americans because the UK does not want to be complicit [in the bombings]. <...> The British military are concerned about the legality of President Trump's decision to blow up the boats," the publication said.
This position is explained by the publication's fact that the UK controls a number of territories in the Caribbean and all data transferred to the United States is used to intercept suspected smugglers. However, to date, the British Navy fears for the illegality of the actions of the United States.
The US Navy, by order of US President Donald Trump, has launched two strikes against ships allegedly carrying drug traffickers in the Pacific Ocean. In total, six people were killed in the attack. There were three men on board each vessel.
Prior to that, on November 6, the US military also, on Trump's instructions, destroyed another ship allegedly carrying drug traffickers in the Caribbean Sea. It was noted that the ship was attacked in international waters, none of the American servicemen were injured, and three drug traffickers were killed.
