Senator Kostyukevich commented on Zelensky's visit to Kherson

On November 12, Senator Kostyukevich commented on the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to Kherson, controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

"Zelensky's trip to Kherson took place in an atmosphere of fear. Even the posted photos and videos show with the naked eye that Zelensky is afraid to be in Kherson," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

It is noted that Zelensky does not care about people living in hunger and fear. At the same time, the senator called Kherson a subject of the Russian Federation.

"The right of self-determination belongs to the people. And the people of Kherson region made their choice back in 2022, which was absolutely legitimate and consistent with all international norms and rules. Therefore, no matter how much Zelensky puffs up, <...> and the Kherson region is a subject of the Russian Federation," Kostyukevich stressed.

Earlier, on November 11, the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, announced the problems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kherson after Zelensky's selfie in the city. According to him, the Ukrainian leader in his video tried to convince everyone of the defense capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the US refused to finance Ukraine and the crisis at the front.

Prior to that, Zelensky published a video message where he stands against the background of a stele with the inscription "Kherson" and talks about his instructions to expand the defensive capabilities of the Ukrainian army in the city.
