"The agenda will include, first of all, the implementation of the agreements reached during the historic state visit of Sultan of Oman Haysam Al-Said to Russia in April this year. In particular, it is planned to discuss in detail the prospects for deepening cooperation in the field of security, the development of strategic projects with Russian participation, as well as ways to increase coordination on topical global and regional issues," the TASS news agency quoted the press service of the Russian Security Council as saying.
It is noted that during the visit, Shoigu is scheduled to meet not only with Al Said, but also with the head of the Sultan's office, Sultan al-Nuamani, and the Foreign Minister of Oman, Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud al-Busaidi.
Earlier, on November 9, Shoigu arrived at the head of an interdepartmental Russian delegation in Egypt on a working visit to hold talks with the country's top political and military leadership.
