An appeals court in South Korea has acquitted 81-year-old actor Oh Yong Soo, known for his role as Oh Il Nam in the TV series "The Squid Game," in a sexual harassment case. This was reported on November 11 by Yonhap News Agency.

"The Suwon District Court found Oh Yeon—soo innocent, overturning the decision of the lower court, which sentenced him to eight months in prison with a suspended sentence of two years," the article says.

The actor was awarded the Golden Globe Award in 2022 for his role in the series. He also starred in the film "Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter... and it's spring again" in 2003.

In November 2022, the actor was charged with allegedly hugging a woman and kissing her on the cheek against her wishes in August 2017. The applicant contacted the police in December 2021. The court of first instance sentenced Oh Yeon-soo to eight months in prison, suspended for two years. The prosecutor's office demanded one year in prison, but the Court of Appeal rejected this request.
