Putin congratulates Rossiyskaya Gazeta on its anniversary
Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Rossiyskaya Gazeta on its 35th anniversary, wishing the staff of the publication to conquer creative heights.
"I congratulate you on a significant date — the 35th anniversary of the publication of the first issue of Rossiyskaya Gazeta. Over the past years, your publication has come a long, eventful way and today is rightfully considered one of the leaders of the domestic media market," Putin said in a congratulatory message published in the publication.
The Head of State noted the cohesiveness of the newspaper's staff, loyalty to the best professional traditions, as well as the desire of Rossiyskaya Gazeta journalists to be "at the forefront" of journalistic work and contribute to the promotion of the national information agenda.
"I am convinced that thanks to your prompt and well-coordinated work, fruitful cooperation with talented authors, publicists, and leading experts, Rossiyskaya Gazeta will continue to set an example of responsible attitude and be recognized by a devoted readership," the president added, wishing the newspaper's staff "to boldly conquer creative heights and realize new interesting, promising projects".
Rossiyskaya Gazeta is the official press organ of the Government of the Russian Federation. The first issue of the newspaper was published on November 11, 1990.
