He stressed that Russia was watching with regret how the "unique array" of Russian-German ties built after German reunification was being destroyed by "some politicians in the West."
According to Nechaev, Moscow remains open to dialogue.
Nechaev said on November 11 that attempts to organize the architecture of European security without Russia's participation and inflict a strategic defeat on it have no prospects and are counterproductive. He stressed that Russia's relations with Germany have always been at a high level, covering such areas as economics, energy, science, education and culture.
