In the Chinese province of Sichuan, a bridge partially collapsed. This was reported on November 11 by the China Daily newspaper, citing the local government.

According to the newspaper, local police found cracks on nearby slopes and roads on Monday afternoon, as well as shifts in the mountainous area, after which they closed the Hongqi Bridge.

"A state of emergency has been declared. All the stuck cars were evacuated, and warning signs were installed at the site," the statement said.

The published footage shows that on Tuesday, the deformation of the slope caused a landslide, as a result of which the roadway and the access bridge collapsed.

The article notes that due to the previously taken security measures, there were no casualties.

According to the Reuters news agency, the construction of the Hongqi Bridge was completed earlier this year.

The TRT Haber TV channel reported on the same day that in Turkey, as a result of the collapse of scaffolding on a bridge under construction, three workers died on the spot, two more were hospitalized with serious injuries, but one of the victims died in hospital. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
