The situation with air transportation in the United States will stabilize no earlier than next week, despite the expected withdrawal of the government from the shutdown in the coming days. This was reported on November 11 by the Reuters news agency.

"After the end of the shutdown, it may take several days or even more for air traffic to return to normal," the article says.

It is noted that due to the longest suspension of the work of the US government in history, more than 60 thousand employees of the Transportation Security Administration were forced to work without pay. More than 1 million people were affected by flight delays last Saturday and Sunday alone.

In addition, the reduction in the number of flights at the 40 largest airports by order of the Federal Aviation Administration amounted to about 800 flights, but on Sunday, major airlines canceled twice as many flights due to problems with air traffic control personnel.

It is specified that if the shutdown in the United States continues for another two weeks, the crisis situation may affect the Thanksgiving Holiday period, one of the busiest periods of air travel of the year.
