Drivers in Moscow will be informed about concerts and football matches.

In Moscow, it is planned to install 140 new scoreboards along the highways, which will display data not only on incidents and congestion, but also service information. For example, drivers will be notified about major events, such as football matches or concerts, which may affect the transport situation. This was reported by Kommersant on November 11.

There are already 500 information display boards (TOI) in the city that warn of accidents, road works and congestion, as well as show estimated travel time. The tender, which is planned to purchase 140 new vehicles, is being conducted by the Moscow Traffic Management Center. Compared to the current scoreboards, they will have expanded functionality.

According to the data center, with the installation of new displays, it is planned to strengthen integration with the urban infrastructure to build combined routes. For example, the screens will display information about the nearest intercepting parking lots, indicating the number of available spaces so that the driver can transfer to public transport. The scoreboard will also display information about the weather in specific areas (if there is fog or rain ahead).

New displays are planned to be installed for 2025-2027 on key urban highways with subsequent integration into the intelligent transport system of the capital. The data center noted that most of the maintenance equipment already used meets modern requirements and will remain in operation, but some of the outdated equipment will be dismantled.

Earlier, on September 26, Deptrans reported that since the beginning of the year, the number of violations of the requirements prohibiting stopping and parking signs in Moscow has decreased by 26% compared to last year. Such violations are most often recorded in the central areas of the city, near major transport hubs, near offices and shopping malls, near metro stations, as well as on streets with high traffic.
