A violation of the dismantling technology could have caused a part of the column to collapse with a Snowball

Part of the column of the Snezhkom ski complex in Krasnogorsk could collapse due to a violation of dismantling technologies. This was reported on November 11 by TASS, citing a source in the operational services.

"As previously established, a violation of the dismantling technology could lead to the collapse of a part of the support column. Probably, the design features and materials of the support column were not taken into account. In general, other causes of the emergency will be considered," the report says.

A criminal case was opened into the incident under Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of safety rules during construction or other work"). Investigators and criminologists are working at the scene of the emergency.

As a result of the tragedy, three people died.

Earlier that day, a part of the dismantled Snezhkom ski complex collapsed in Krasnogorsk, Moscow region. As a result of the incident, two people were injured. The injured woman refused to be hospitalized after examining her wounds. The man was taken to the emergency room. Also, 50 cars parked next to the facility were damaged.
