American rapper and producer Sean Combs, known as P Diddy, works as an assistant prison chaplain at Fort Dix Federal Prison in New Jersey. This was reported on November 10 by the CBS News channel.

"He works in the chapel's library, where he describes the environment as warm, respectful, and rewarding," the article says.

According to the newspaper, working as a priest's assistant is considered one of the most prestigious assignments in prison. The prisoners employed in this position maintain the religious library, clean the office, and help with documentation. At the same time, Combs is enrolled in the intensive drug addiction treatment program RDAP, participation in which can reduce the sentence to one year.

On November 7, TMZ reported that P Diddy was convicted of drinking alcohol in Fort Dix Federal Prison. The musician was caught drinking alcohol, which was prepared in prison conditions from apples, sugar and Fanta soda. The musician was taken into custody in New York on September 17, 2024 by court order. It was clarified that he has been under intense scrutiny since his ex-girlfriend accused him of human trafficking and years of violence in 2023. On the same day, law enforcement officers charged the rapper with human trafficking and prostitution.

Later, on October 3 of this year, Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison for human trafficking and sexual assault. US President Donald Trump, in turn, announced on October 7 that P Diddy had asked for his pardon.

On October 28, ABC News reported that P Diddy could be released in three years. The perpetrator is expected to be released from custody in Brooklyn on May 8, 2028. However, according to the publication, this date may change: if the star's lawyer's request for transfer and treatment for drug addiction is granted, the period will be reduced by 12 months. TMZ posted the first photo of P Diddy on October 31. The published footage showed an orange prison cap, a dark blue down jacket and a graying beard of the rapper.
