Nutritionist Polyakov named a safe portion of matcha drink per day
On Tuesday, November 11, endocrinologist and nutritionist Anton Polyakov named the beneficial properties of Japanese matcha green tea for the body, and also told how much you can drink it per day.
He specified that it is a drink consisting of ground concentrated powder of various plants.
"It is rich in chlorophyll, antioxidants, vitamin K and the amino acid L-theanine. The product is not bad for supporting detoxification of the body, for reducing free radicals, that is, it has antioxidant protection, and for women separately, it is potentially useful, as it has anti—cancer properties," Polyakov said in an interview with aif.ru .
The expert added that L-theanine, which is contained in the drink, stabilizes the nervous system, calms it, but at the same time improves focus. And vitamin K is involved in the blood clotting system and in a number of other functions.
In addition, matcha contains caffeine, which gives energy, tones and regulates blood pressure.
At the same time, this drink should be consumed no more than one cup per day, Polyakov stressed.
Matcha has a number of useful properties, writes Pravda.Ru . The drink improves brain function, reduces the risk of cancer, supports heart and intestinal health, and helps control blood sugar levels.
In turn, nutritionist and Candidate of medical Sciences Daria Rusakova told Moscow 24 that regular consumption of more than one or two cups of matcha per day can worsen iron deficiency.
The doctor clarified that one of the reasons is tannins, which bind to iron and interfere with its absorption. They can contribute to the development of anemia and its symptoms: brittle nails, dullness and hair loss, clarifies 360.ru .
Earlier, on October 28, Dmitry Karpenko, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor of the Department of Polyclinic Therapy at the Institute of Clinical Medicine at Pirogov University, told the Moscow City News Agency that matcha tea contains L-theanine, which provides a smooth, calm and long-lasting feeling of vivacity without nervousness and sudden decline.
Earlier, in March, nutritionist Daria Rusakova advised replacing coffee with tea, chicory and matcha. At the same time, the doctor warned against using energy drinks, explaining that they contain harmful additives and excessive amounts of sugar.
