- The expert spoke about the crisis of top management and the need for an eastern management model
Even experienced managers today are at a loss in the face of new market realities and cannot come up with effective strategies in the face of rapid business transformation. Anxiety is spreading not because of the heightened sensitivity of modern leaders, but because of profound changes in the economy and business management. Vladislav Bykhanov, Managing partner of Cornerstone HR company, told Izvestia on November 14 about why the old methods don't work.
"Traditional schemes and "best practices" that were formed decades ago have now lost their effectiveness. The usual method of constant decision—making without in-depth analysis of the current situation causes a lot of meaningless actions that only lead to increased anxiety among employees," the expert said.
Bykhanov stressed that the way out of the situation is to abandon Western models focused on strict control and switch to an eastern business philosophy where harmony, trust and collective decision-making are important. This approach strengthens team spirit, reduces stress levels, and increases companies' resilience to crises.
"The Eastern School of Business is distinguished by a long view of the future, the priority of the team over individualism, the desire for harmony and respect for each employee. Here, decisions are made collectively, which strengthens the trust and motivation of the team. Leaders regularly invest in their own development and staff training, ensuring the company's adaptation to market conditions," the source said.
According to him, the success of future enterprises will depend precisely on the ability to rebuild in time and adopt a new management ideology. This will require a significant level of trust and openness on the part of employers, as well as serious efforts to train employees in new ways of working and adapting to modern market conditions.
On November 11, Arina Yusupova, Deputy Head of Console's legal department, told Izvestia about innovations for the self-employed. The key change will be the right to choose orders independently and refuse unwanted tasks. Platforms will be required to charge for each order separately, which will eliminate the practice of accumulating multiple tasks with a single payment.
