In Vladivostok, the introduction of new dedicated lanes for public transport has been postponed. The decision was made after a meeting between the governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako and the head of the city Konstantin Shestakov.

As reported in the official Telegram channel of the governor, testing has shown that, despite the increase in capacity for public transport due to the introduction of "allotments", the main highway in the area of the Nekrasovsky overpass remains busy. Additional measures are required to unload it.

So, it was decided to reconstruct an additional road to the center on Neftewetka Street. For this, money will be received from the regional budget. The transport artery will be paved next year. Funds from the regional budget will also be allocated for the purchase of an additional 40 municipal buses. Drivers' salaries are being increased.

The city is also designing interchanges, which should lead to the unloading of the main road, said the governor, quoted by PrimaMedia news agency.

On the night of November 11, city officials painted over the designated lanes for public transport. Thus, they returned to the old one-way traffic pattern. Motorists will drive along the entire road without violations.

Earlier it was reported that Vladivostok has identified a contractor who will develop a major renovation project for Borisenko Street and Vostochny Avenue. The Intercarto company has been selected as the contractor for the work. The administration of the Far Eastern capital does not name the cost of the contract with her, but they note that the company's specialists must complete the development of the necessary documentation no later than November 28, 2025.
