Sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) have set a record high in the history of observations. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this on November 11 in his Telegram channel.

In the middle of autumn, 6,292 plug-in hybrids were sold in Russia. This is 54% more than in October last year, and 62% more than in September this year. The market share approached 4%.

According to the analyst, this growth is due to upcoming changes in the calculation of the recycling fee. Against this background, sales increased demand not only for imported cars, but also for those assembled in Russia.

The Voyah brand (1,572 units) became the leader of the benzoelectric segment. The former leader Lixiang (1,437 units) moved to the second place. The top five also included Exeed Exlantix (613 units), Geely (471 units) and Aito (412 units).

In just 10 months, sales of hybrid cars amounted to almost 30 thousand units (-11%). The best-selling brand in the PHEV segment remains Lixiang (9717 units).

The day before, it was reported that 1,061 new Skoda cars were registered in Russia in October. This is 168% more than in October last year. Also on November 10, it became known that in October of this year, Vladivostok Customs set a new record for registration of vehicles for personal use.
