Expert Bochkina explained the thresholds of suspicious transfers for individuals
Banks consider suspicious transfers of individuals in the amount of more than 100,000 rubles per day and more than 1 million rubles per month, an analyst at the Bank's financial marketplace reported on November 11.Erania Bochkina in an interview with the Prime agency.
"A very fast transfer of newly credited funds does not look like ordinary household financial activity and means that the account serves as a "corridor" for transferring money further," the expert explained.
She added that even small amounts can cause increased attention if they fit into money laundering or fraud schemes.
According to Bochkina, banks focus not only on the thresholds of amounts, but also on the number of transactions, the number of recipients and the behavioral patterns of customers. To reduce the risk of being blocked, she advises using the account for routine payments, keeping documents about the origin of funds, and avoiding mass transfers to unfamiliar cards.
Earlier, on November 6, it was reported that banks have the right to block customer accounts if atypical activity is detected. In such cases, they limit remote service and ask the client to clarify the nature of the transactions, and if necessary, suspend transfers for two days.
