The State Duma reported the shortest working winter in the last 20 years
In the coming winter, Russians will work only 56 days out of 90, which is considered the shortest working winter in the last 20 years. This was announced on November 11 by Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.
"This is a consequence of the fact that we have long weekends during these New Year holidays. For the first time in many years, from January 1 to January 11 inclusive, we have non—working holidays," the TASS news agency quoted him as saying.
It is noted that people usually have 57-58 working days in winter. And the longest working winter was the period of 2013-2014, when Russians worked for 59 days.
