The BBC and similar media outlets have long learned to pass off black as white and are riveting fakes on an industrial scale. On November 10, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on the situation with the distortion of the speech of US President Donald Trump.

"For the second day now, the entire media (and not only) world has been agitated by the news: Tim Davey, Director General of the BBC, and Deborah Turness, head of the corporation's news division, have resigned," Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.

The diplomat said that Michael Prescott, a former freelance adviser to the BBC editorial committee, reported last week that the BBC had edited the president's speech for its film "Trump: A Second Chance" in such a way that he called for riots at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Zakharova noted that Prescott made it clear that the BBC wanted to influence domestic political life in the United States by resorting to lies and direct manipulation.

The BBC and their ilk have learned to pass off black as white and vice versa, while their own fakes are being riveted on an industrial scale. Any topic can be a reason to throw in. Political order and the wonders of editing are becoming the main driver of pseudo-journalism. Reporters of the past, including British ones, would have cursed their current followers. And until very recently, all these fake dealers felt completely unpunished," she wrote.

According to her, resigning after deliberately lying about an event in which people died is only a mild censure.

Earlier, on November 3, The Telegraph reported that The BBC had falsified the American leader's speech about the Capitol riots in 2021. According to the publication, the TV channel created the impression that Trump was encouraging riots on Capitol Hill.

Later, on November 9, Tim Davey, Director General of the BBC, announced his resignation after criticism over editing the US president's speech. According to him, the TV channel is working well, but several mistakes have been made, and he, as CEO, must take full responsibility.

On November 9, Trump thanked The Telegraph newspaper for exposing the falsification of his speech about the riots in the Capitol by the BBC television channel. In addition, he called the dismissed heads of the TV channel dishonest people who tried to stand on the scales of the presidential election.
