The business program of the Russia-Oman Business Forum has been published

On November 12-13, Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman, will host a business mission consisting of representatives of Russian official and business circles.
The business mission is organized by the International Platform of the Roscongress Foundation Roscongress International, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment Attraction of the Sultanate of Oman and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Oman.

The business mission is timed to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and is aimed at strengthening strategic partnership, developing trade, economic, investment and humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Oman. Against the background of a successful political dialogue, Russian-Omani relations are reaching a new, more meaningful level. Projects in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres create a strong fabric of ties, which gives relations between the two countries a special, long-term strength.

"Our relations with the Sultanate of Oman go far beyond traditional diplomacy, trade and energy. The business mission to Muscat, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of our relationship, will be the next step in strengthening this unique model of multifaceted cooperation. I am confident that deepening direct contacts between representatives of official and business circles, as well as between the regions of our countries, is the key to further saturating Russian-Omani relations with concrete joint projects that are being put into practice. It is at this level that the strongest and most durable partnership is born," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.

On November 12, on the eve of the main business program, industrial and cultural excursions will be organized, as well as a reception on behalf of the Moscow Government on the occasion of the Days of Moscow in Oman. The program of the reception includes a concert by the People's Artist of Russia, singer, composer Dmitry Malikov, as well as a performance by composer and violinist Edwin Marton.

The Russia-Oman Business Forum will be held on November 13. Thematic discussions, a business dialogue on digital transformation and a high-level plenary session will be held at the JW Marriott Hotel Muscat.

"The Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation have a long-standing relationship based on mutual respect and common interests. This Forum highlights our common goal of expanding trade and investment ties and creating long–term values for the economies of both countries," said Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment of the Sultanate of Oman.

Alexey Valkov, Deputy Director of the Roscongress Foundation and Director of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, and Hamed Al-Sabab, Chairman of the Oman-Russia Joint Business Council, will address the participants at the opening of the Forum.

A high–level plenary session "Russia-Oman: a look into the future" will be held within the framework of the Forum, where strategic directions for the development of bilateral relations will be considered. Among the speakers are Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment Attraction of the Sultanate of Oman Qais bin Mohammed Al Youssef, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Oman Faisal Abdullah Saeed Al Rawas, Head of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic Rashid Temrezov.

The panel discussion "Russia–Oman: Unlocking the potential of trade, economic and investment cooperation" will discuss practical steps to expand mutual trade, attract investment, develop logistics infrastructure, as well as promote cultural, humanitarian and interregional cooperation. The discussion will be attended by Board member and Chairman of the North El Batina branch of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry Saeed Al Abri; CEO of InvestOman Nasser Khalifa Al Kindi; Member of the Economic Committee of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry Talal Al Awlaki; Mustafa Ali Mukhtar, Member of the Oman-Russian Joint Business Council; Assistant to the Head (Raisa) of the Republic Tatarstan, Deputy Chairman of the Russia–Islamic World Strategic Vision Group Marat Gatin; Alexey Dyachuk, Deputy General Director of the Directorate of International Transport Corridors; Sergey Makarov, Deputy General Director for Construction and Architectural Restoration of the State Hermitage Museum; Sergey Cheryomin, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of the City of Moscow.

The panel discussion "Prospects for deepening the Russian-Omani dialogue in the field of energy and exploration" will focus on the implementation of joint projects in the energy and mining sectors.

The Moscow-Oman Business Dialogue: Digital Transformation of Cities and New Horizons of Technological Partnership will become a platform for discussing the possibilities of technological bilateral cooperation and sharing experience in implementing sustainable development and smart cities programs.

A discussion on "The role of global women's cooperation for human health and well-being" will be held to discuss global health trends and improve the well-being of people around the world. The moderator is Irina Pshonik, Head of the Roscongress Foundation's Directorate of Healthcare. The participants in the discussion will be Ekaterina Priezdeva, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation; Fahria Al-Shibli, owner of Dr. Fakhriya Clinics; Siham Ahmed Al Harti, member of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Maha Al Balushi, Member of the Committee of Women Entrepreneurs of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Vice President, Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship of the All-Russian Public organizations of small and medium-sized enterprises "Support of Russia" Nadiya Cherkasova and others.

An important part of the business mission will be the business contacts exchange, where Russian and Omani companies will be able to present their projects and discuss the prospects for joint initiatives. Specialized B2B, B2G and G2G negotiations aimed at strengthening business ties between representatives of the official and business circles of the two countries will be held for the participants of the business mission.
