The International Video Game Week will be held in Moscow

The first Moscow International Video Game Week will be held in the capital on November 27-30. The events will be held at more than 330 venues, including computer clubs and specialized educational institutions. About 200 Russian and foreign experts will speak at the Skolkovo Innovation Center, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital.

This is the first time Moscow will host such a major event for the video game industry, the deputy mayor emphasized. Participation was confirmed by representatives of the Russian market and 20 other countries, including China, India, Vietnam and Kazakhstan. "They will discuss the prospects of the industry, promotion tools, support measures and the possibility of creating virtual worlds based on the national flavor and historical heritage of states," Sergunina said.

Workshops on game creation, thematic film screenings, lectures and cyber tournaments will be held at specialized venues. Computer clubs in 83 regions of Russia will join the latter. One of the key events will be the "Video Game Night". A retro game zone with old consoles will be set up for guests, competitions in modern video and board games will be held, and much more.

Business events will be held in four thematic blocks. The first one, Technologies of Industry, will be devoted to the main stages of creating a successful game — from the idea to the finished product, as well as marketing strategies. The participants of the "Player decides Everything" track will discuss how to interest users in the long term and which specialists the industry needs.

The Gaming Ecosystem section will focus on government support and strategic partnerships, consider the legal aspects of the video game business and the successful stories of small teams. The fourth module, "Industry Trends", will address issues related to the future of the industry.
