It is impossible to influence the entire body in order to prolong life in only one way. This opinion was expressed by Valery Novoselov, a neurologist, geriatrician and neurophysiologist, on Monday, November 10.

The specialist noted that there are 240 types of cells in the human body. Some cells divide, while others do not. Brain cells are among the latter, he added.

"It's very difficult to affect them, even with the help of the substance that is extracted from grape seeds. It is impossible to transfer the research that is being conducted completely to humans, because brain cells are well protected. In addition, it is impossible to influence all types of cells by just one method," Novoselov said in an interview with aif.ru .

According to the neurologist, there is another problem that people may face — the need for timely care for the elderly.

"It is worth paying attention to the fact that in recent years we have been living in illness and infirmity. That's the biggest problem. The condition of the elderly often depends on the help of their relatives. And as a result, living to these 120 years is determined not by pills for longevity, but by the efforts of relatives who take care, feed, and change diapers," the specialist concluded.

Earlier, on November 8, it became known that the Lonvi Biosciences research center, located in China, is developing pills that can prolong human life up to 150 years. 360.ru .

The drug is based on grape seed extract, according to the website. kp.ru . Chinese experts believe that grape seeds contain special molecules capable of destroying aging cells that accumulate in the body and damage healthy tissues.

Earlier, on September 29, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova said that some Russians have the potential to live to 100-120 years, IA Regnum reports.

On August 6, Golikova announced that the goal of the national project "Long and Active Life" is to increase the expected duration of a healthy and active life of citizens, the Moscow City News Agency reports.
