39 doctors arrived in Transbaikalia under the Zemsky Doctor program

Doctors continue to come to Transbaikalia as part of the Zemsky Doctor program. 39 doctors and 11 mid-level specialists have already arrived in the region, Oksana Nemakina, head of the regional Ministry of Health, said on Rossiya 24.

"We are expecting 32 more, because they are currently undergoing accreditation. Specialists will also replenish our relics after accreditation. We are waiting for them," the minister explained, quoted by ChitaMedia news agency.

According to her, the main influx of personnel is provided by nearby regions. Most of the doctors come from Siberia and the Far Eastern Federal District.

Earlier it was reported that about 72,000 doctors and health workers went to work in rural areas and small towns under the Zemsky Doctor program. Since 2012, payments to them have amounted to almost 73 billion rubles, and another 33 billion are planned until 2030.
