The mobile complex "Oreshnik" will move across Belarus
The Oreshnik missile system, which will be put on combat duty in Belarus in December, will not be located in the same place. This was announced by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on October 10.
"We will not disclose the details. This is a mobile complex, it will never be in one place. He will patrol at certain points and from a certain point [will be able, if necessary] to strike," the BelTA news agency quoted him as saying.
At a meeting on finalizing the Program of socio-economic development of Belarus for 2026-2030, Lukashenko noted the program of priority for strengthening the defense capability. He recalled that nuclear weapons are deployed on the territory of Belarus.
Earlier, on October 31, Lukashenko confirmed plans to put the Oreshnik medium-range missile on combat duty in December. The Belarusian leader also stressed that he would make the decision on the use of "Hazel" together with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
On October 28, Lukashenko said that Minsk could suspend the deployment of the Oreshnik if Europe was ready to take similar steps. According to him, some European countries have already announced plans to deploy medium-range missile systems.
