A criminal case has been opened into the fact that a child fell into an elevator shaft in one of the new buildings in Voronezh. This was reported on November 10 in the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the region.
Earlier, a video appeared on the Network showing a child falling into an elevator shaft after pressing the call button and leaning against the door. According to preliminary information, the boy was saved by his father, who also went down into the mine.
"An investigator of the Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet security requirements")," the agency's Telegram channel says.
The department added that a survey of the residents of the house and employees of the management company was conducted at the scene of the incident. In addition, law enforcement agencies studied the documents and carried out other verification measures in order to establish the circumstances of the incident.
According to SU SK, the inspection will also assess the actions of officials who were responsible for the proper condition of the elevator equipment. A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the audit.
On July 12, a freight elevator fell on a minor employee of an enterprise in Makhachkala, and the teenager died as a result of the incident. It is specified that he died on the spot.
