The nominees for the fifth season of the Znanie Educational Award have been announced

The Russian Society Znanie has announced the shortlist for the fifth anniversary season of the educational award, which includes 112 nominees from 30 regions of Russia and four foreign countries. This was announced on November 10 by the press service of the organization. The full list is published on the official website of the award.

"Every new season is Knowledge.The award makes a great contribution to the formation of a new generation of educators — people who strengthen the country by word, deed and, most importantly, by personal example," said Maxim Dreval, Director General of the Znanie Society.

The shortlist included 61 educators, 47 projects and four companies selected from 18.7 thousand applications. Moscow, Krasnodar Territory, Moscow, Tula and Novosibirsk regions have the largest representation in the final. The highest competition was recorded in the nominations "Training and mentoring" (476 applications per place) and "For contribution to preserving the memory of the exploits of the defenders of the Fatherland" (282 applications per place).

For the first time in the history of the award, representatives of Switzerland, Italy and the Czech Republic were included in the shortlist of the "Foreign Educator" nomination. France is represented by financier and public figure Pierre de Gaulle, the grandson of former French President Charles de Gaulle.

In November, the nominees will present their educational activities to the jury in Moscow. The Expert Council, which included more than 300 representatives from all regions of Russia, has already completed the evaluation of applications. The winners will be announced in 16 nominations.

Putin also discussed the topic of history, which he called science not about the past, but about the future.
