- NABU conducted searches at the home of a businessman close to Zelensky and ex-Minister of Energy
Employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) are conducting searches at one of the closest associates of President Vladimir Zelensky, Timur Mindich, and former Energy Minister German Galushchenko. This was reported on November 10 by the Ukrainian newspaper Strana.ua" in the Telegram channel.
"The searches began in the morning in Kiev. It is stated that Mindich had urgently left the country a few hours earlier," the report says.
The businessman is being investigated on a wide range of charges, including corruption in the procurement of drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Fire Point, a company close to Mindich, is the largest contractor in this field. The schemes on the energy market are also being considered and the results of wiretapping Mindich's apartment, where conversations with Zelensky could have been recorded, are being studied.
People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak confirmed that searches are also taking place at German Galushchenko, who currently holds the post of Minister of Justice, and at Energoatom. The politician said that "this is not all," hinting at a possible continuation of the anti-corruption operation.
On November 2, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Goncharenko (listed as a terrorist and extremist by Rosfinmonitoring) said that those liable for military service in Ukraine give $15,000 each to be released from the military enlistment office after mobilization. Goncharenko believes that bribes of this scale are colossal corruption worth billions of dollars.
