The number of injured in an explosion at a school in Jakarta has increased from 54 to 96 people. This was reported on November 7 by the newspaper Kompas with reference to the press service of the Indonesian Metropolitan Police.

"According to the latest data, 96 people were injured, 29 were hospitalized," said Budi Hermanto, head of the public relations department of the Jakarta Police.

According to preliminary information, the explosion could have been caused by one of the students who was bullied. The police found an unknown powdery substance in his house. The suspect is in intensive care.

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto said that the incident may be related to the influence of violent computer games on children. Law enforcement agencies are also considering the version of the terrorist attack, but have not yet found evidence of this hypothesis.

The terrorist attack on a mosque located on the territory of a school complex in Jakarta took place on November 7. Dozens of people were injured and hospitalized after the explosion. According to footage from local news channels, the mosque building was not badly destroyed by the explosion.
