The Russian side does not see the role of the United Nations (UN) in resolving the Ukrainian conflict. This was announced on November 10 by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasily Nebenzya.

According to him, the Secretary General of the world organization, Antonio Guterres, and his "staff in the person of the press secretary and other officials" abuse their position and take a certain side in the conflict, despite Article 100 of the charter on the impartiality of international staff.

"To be honest, I don't see the role of the UN. Yes, they themselves do not particularly seek to play any role, because they understand that there is no place for them at the table of this story," Nebenzia said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Earlier, on November 9, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the end of the Ukrainian conflict is impossible without eliminating its causes and taking into account Russian interests. He stressed that the issue of ownership of Crimea and Sevastopol has been finally resolved for Moscow.
