The State Duma will introduce a bill on mandatory salary indexation at least once a year

Yaroslav Nilov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor and Social Policy, will propose to deputies a bill obliging commercial organizations to raise employee salaries annually by at least the level of last year's inflation. The contents of the bill were reviewed by TASS on November 10.

It is specified that the bill is aimed at changing Article 134 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. The explanatory note emphasizes that the current version of the article requires commercial employers to index salaries to compensate for inflation, but does not establish clear rules for this indexation.
