RFU refused to play a friendly match with Argentina due to financial conditions
The Russian national football team will not play against Argentina in November, as the parties have not agreed on financial terms. This was announced on November 9 by Maxim Mitrofanov, General Secretary of the Russian Football Union (RFU).
"Will Angola pay a lot of money for the match against Argentina? There are also diamonds, diamonds, rubies. Could we be in their shoes? Yes, but we consider the funds requested to be inadequate," Mitrofanov shared in an interview with Sport-Express.
It is noted that Angola will pay €12 million for the match with Argentina, which will be held on November 14.
Earlier, on October 27, the head coach of the Russian national team, Valery Karpin, included 39 players in the expanded list of the national team.
