British authorities have told locals to wait 103 years for road repairs.
Residents of the British county of Oxfordshire have been promised road repairs in a century. This was reported on November 9 by the Daily Mail newspaper.
"Residents whose potholed roads have not been repaired since 1983 were shocked to learn that the average waiting time [for repairs] is more than a century," the publication says.
According to local residents, roads in their area have not been repaired for more than 40 years, while other roads in the area are under construction. They added that the condition of the roads makes driving dangerous.
"There are always a lot of potholes on the road, but they are simply quickly repaired. When moisture gets in, it freezes, and potholes appear again," said one of the residents.
Earlier, on September 26, the BBC television and radio company reported that cities in the UK and the USA are suffering from an invasion of rats. The British Pest Control Association (BPCA) reports that more than half of its member companies have faced an increase in the number of calls for the extermination of rats over the past five years. According to the data of the deratization services, their number has increased by 20% over the past two years.
