- Sobyanin spoke about the renewal of rolling stock on the Yaroslavl line of the MCC
By the end of this year, 15 new Ivolga 4.0 trains will start operating in the Yaroslavl direction. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin told about this in his channel in the MACH messenger. By 2030, the metropolitan authorities plan to purchase 92 new trains of this type.
"The replacement of rolling stock is a key stage of a lot of work to improve the traffic intensity of the Yaroslavl direction," said the mayor of the capital.
So, in addition to updating the rolling stock, the Moscow authorities opened a transport hub in Rostokine, which provided a convenient transfer from Yaroslavl trains to the MCC and built additional tracks to Pushkino, which increased the number of electric trains running and reduced passenger waiting time by a third. The new Ivolga 4.0 trains will make trips even faster and more comfortable.
To switch to a new type of train, railway workers are doing a lot of work, both technical and personnel. Powerful trains of the new generation require setting up the power grid and evenly distributing the load between substations. In addition, the drivers of the new trains undergo additional training and practical exercises before starting work. To monitor the technical condition of trains in Pushkin, a new division of the Tver Carriage Building Plant has begun work, where diagnostics and routine maintenance work on new trains are carried out.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
