A driver was killed in an accident on the M10 highway in the Leningrad region.
A check is underway on the fact of a fatal accident that occurred on the M10 highway in the Tosnensky district. This was reported on November 9 in the Telegram channel of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
"On November 8 at 20:10 [Moscow time] on 664 km of the M10 highway in the Tosnensky district of the Leningrad region, a 56-year—old driver, driving a Hyundai Solaris car, lost control," the publication says.
It is specified that the vehicle drove into a ditch, after which it ran over a lighting pole. As a result of the incident, the driver died on the spot.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that a teenager was killed in an accident in the Sakhalin region. It was clarified that he was not wearing a seat belt.
