Almost ten people, including Russian citizens and foreigners, were arrested in a criminal case on cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the framework of a terrorist community. This was reported on November 9 by RIA Novosti, citing a source familiar with the investigation.

"Almost ten Russian citizens and foreigners have been given a preventive measure in the form of detention on charges of participating in a terrorist community through cooperation with the SBU," the agency's source said.

One of the main defendants is a foreign citizen, who, according to the investigation, established contact with the SBU.

All the accused are in Moscow's pre-trial detention facilities, including Lefortovo, the source said.

Earlier in October, in the Moscow region, employees of the Center for Countering Extremism of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, together with the FSB of the Russian Federation, stopped preparations for a terrorist attack, during which an agent of the Ukrainian special services was supposed to hand over explosives in Izmailovsky Park. A criminal case was opened against a 27-year-old resident of Volokolamsk on the grounds of a crime under articles 30 ("Preparation for a crime and attempted crime") and 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act").
