The Sea Bridge ferry's flight from Trabzon to Sochi was disrupted: the vessel did not receive permission to enter the port and, after spending more than two days on the raid, was forced to return to Turkey. This was announced to RIA Novosti on November 9 by Sergey Turkmenyan, General Director of SVS Shipping LLC, Director of Marine Infrastructure Development at the Black Sea Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

"After two and a half days of waiting, the ferry was refused entry to the port of Sochi. The ferry returns to Trabzon without disembarking its citizens on their native land," the agency's source said.

The day before, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reported that the Seabridge vessel was unable to disembark passengers in Sochi due to the lack of permission to enter Russia. It performed the first flight on the Trabzon – Sochi route in 14 years. The ferry arrived in Sochi around 10:00. However, the Russian side did not accept the vessel because it did not have permission to enter the territorial waters of the Russian Federation, and the port of Sochi was closed for exercises until 12:00. Later, on November 7, the ship nevertheless received permission to enter the port of Sochi.

In addition, one of the passengers of the ship said that the ferry is being checked in Sochi. Another passenger noted that the bottom of the vessel had been checked by divers. As a result, some people who were on board the ship had their flights to some cities of the Russian Federation "burned out".
