Private Ershov destroyed two FPV drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and managed to save the ACS

During a special military operation, Private Yevgeny Yershov, a senior driver of the howitzer self-propelled artillery division of the Guard, destroyed two FPV drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with his professional actions and helped save the Msta-S self-propelled artillery installation. This was announced on November 9 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

During the offensive of the Russian Guard troops, the private demonstrated exceptional courage and professionalism. His task was to suppress artillery and mortar batteries, tanks and enemy strongholds. Under intense artillery fire, when the position of his self-propelled gun was under attack, Yershov, thanks to his skill, managed to quickly move the car to a safe position, saving the lives of the crew.

Continuing to carry out the combat mission from a new point, he also effectively covered the car from possible air attacks. Upon detecting the approaching FPV drones, he immediately opened fire with his standard weapon, knocking down two enemy drones. After the ammunition was completely used up, Ershov competently brought the self-propelled gun to a safe area. His professional actions played a key role in the preservation of military equipment and personnel. Thanks to the coordinated actions of the crew, under the leadership of Ershov, enemy firing points were suppressed and a strong point was destroyed, which became an important contribution to the advancement of Russian motorized rifle units.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the decisive actions of Second Lieutenant Mikhail Silishchev, whose unit, thanks to a deceptive maneuver invented by the second lieutenant himself, was able to withstand the enemy's attack and destroy the reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the defensive actions in a strategically important area, a motorized rifle unit under the command of a second lieutenant showed outstanding courage and professionalism. In the face of incessant artillery shelling and attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the personnel steadfastly held their own, not succumbing to pressure. Thanks to the initiative and skilful leadership of Silishchev, as well as the well-coordinated work of the entire unit, it was possible to destroy the reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, thwarting their plans for a breakthrough.

During a second attempt at an offensive, Second Lieutenant Silishchev made the bold decision to carry out a deceptive maneuver. Some of his fighters, acting under his leadership, went to the flank of the enemy and dealt a crushing blow. The result of a competent tactical move was a significant weakening of the enemy: a detachment of Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, four UAVs and three FPV drones were destroyed. Having suffered significant losses and having lost the possibility of further offensive, the enemy was forced to retreat.

Chemezov reported to Putin on the possibility of detecting inconspicuous targets and suppressing previously invulnerable drones.

On November 7, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Senior Sergeant Roman Novokshchenov, performing the task of scouting the area near the line of contact, identified and contributed to the destruction of camouflaged firing points and heavy equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was clarified that when the reconnaissance group approached a given area, the senior sergeant decided to use a quadcopter for a detailed survey of the area.
