Djokovic announced that he missed the final ATP tournament due to injury
Serbian tennis player, world number five Novak Djokovic announced on November 8 that he would not participate in the final tournament of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) due to injury.
"I really wanted to perform in Turin, but after today's final in Athens, I have to announce that I am withdrawing from the Final tournament due to injury," says a post on his Instagram page (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation).
The tournament will be held in Turin, Italy, from November 9 to 16, and its prize pool will amount to $15.5 million. The first substitute, Italian Lorenzo Musetti, will take Djokovic's place.
Earlier in the day, it became known that Djokovic won the final of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tournament in Athens, beating Italian Muzetti with a score of 4:6, 6:3, 7:5, and he won his 101st career trophy.
