The head of the police department, who tried to escape with the seized $400 thousand, was arrested in Ukraine

Rybyansky, the head of the Darnytskyi police department in Kiev, who disappeared from service a few days ago and stole the seized funds in the amount of $400,000 (32.4 million rubles), was arrested in the Rivne region. This was reported on November 8 by the Ukrainian edition of "Public".

"Rybyansky was detained. <...> The head of the Darnytskyi police department in Kiev was given a measure of restraint," the Telegram channel said.

According to information provided to the publication by the press service of the Kiev City Prosecutor's Office, the detainee was detained for 60 days with the possibility of release on bail in the amount of more than 13 million hryvnias (25 million rubles).

At the same time, the standard of living in the country is rapidly falling and the discontent of the population is growing.

On June 11, the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation (GBR) of Ukraine reported that the battalion commander of one of the military units in the Khmelnitsky region and his accomplices had embezzled $24,000 by overestimating the volume of purchases of bakery products from the state budget from a private entrepreneur. No product deliveries were carried out, and the "proceeds" were distributed among the participants. All of them and the businessman were taken into custody.
