A "longevity laboratory" called Lonvi Biosciences was opened in Shenzhen, located in the south of the People's Republic of China (PRC). Its work contributes to the national priority of the country. This was reported on November 8 by The New York Times (NYT).

"China, striving to catch up and, if possible, surpass the West in biotechnology, artificial intelligence (AI) and other advanced technologies, has made the longevity industry a national priority, investing billions in research," the article says.

The chief technical director of the open center, Liu Qinghua, talking about his development of anti-aging pills, which include compounds with grape seed extract, stressed that in a few years it will become "absolutely realistic" to live up to 150 years. According to the expert, over the next five or 10 years, medicine will be able to defeat cancer, but with all the predictions, it is not possible to make a person completely immortal.

"No one in China has ever talked about longevity before, only rich Americans. Now many Chinese are interested and have the money they need to extend their lives," said Gan Yu, co—founder of Lonvi Biosciences.

It is emphasized that the growing interest was also recorded at the recent international meeting organized by Time Pie in Shanghai, by Chinese and foreign scientists, at which anti-aging creams, cryogenic and hyperbaric chambers, as well as other devices that should slow down aging were presented.

The South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported on June 20 that Chinese developers have created an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) the size of a mosquito for covert military operations. This device was made by specialists from the robotics laboratory of the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) of China. It is planned that such drones will be used in intelligence.
