A gas explosion in the village of Kurkino in the Tula region occurred during renovation work on the ground floor of an apartment building. This was announced on November 8 by the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region.
"According to preliminary data, on November 8, a pop of household gas occurred in an apartment located on the first floor of the first entrance at the time of renovation work, as a result of which the house partially collapsed," the agency said in a Telegram channel.
Earlier in the day, a house partially collapsed in the Tula region as a result of an explosion of household gas. It was noted that the explosion led to a partial collapse of the end wall of the first entrance, as well as the roof and ceilings of the second and third floors. Shortly after, the governor of the region, Dmitry Milyaev, announced four casualties during the incident. Also, according to the Izvestia source, employees of the gas service were among the injured.
